My Impact at IUPUI
Camp Brosius
As part of the degree we get the great opportunity to go up to Wisconsin to Camp Brousis summer camp. During our time at the camp I go tot learn how to effectively lead a team, and how to tailor my leadership style towards leading well. While at the camp I got to work with others, and found a lot of my leadership skills on the analytical side of things.
P410- Motor Activity Clinic
One of my greatest honors was to be able to work with a kid during our Motor Activity Clinic. During this clinic we were able to partner with Riley hospital, to bring children with at risk obesity inside of our N.I.F.S. facility and show them fun and innovative ways to exercise. During this time I had the highest since of accomplishment as the kid I worked with showed great progress, and kept me motivated on a daily basis,
P420- Wellness coaching
Wellness coaching was not something that I got a certificate in, but as part of the curriculum for our degree, we get the pleasure to take a course were we can experience some training in wellness coaching. During this class I got to work with a young adult that needed help focusing on his wellness goals, over the course of the semester. It was a great pleasure, and I really enjoyed helping him refocus his fitness goals.
